15-inch Apple MacBook Air to be announced at WWDC 2023: Mark Gurman
The 2023 MacBook Air with a 15-inch screen is expected to be announced on June 5 at the 2023 annual Apple Worldwide Developers Conference, according to a report. There have been several reports speculating about the launch of this Apple device. Previous reports suggested a June release and I’ve been repeating the same through multiple resources. The Cupertino-based tech giant is expected to conduct a series of launches and unveil new products and software, as per tradition, every year. This year, along with the new MacBook Air, the company is also expected to release iOS 17, macOS 14, and watchOS 10 among others.
Mark Gurman confirmed in his recent Power On newsletter that Apple will unveil the 15-inch MacBook Air on June 5 at WWDC 2023, backing up his claims from last month. In the previous report, Gorman said, citing internal company records, that the new MacBook Air laptop computer will continue to offer the M2 chipset from last year’s model. The company is also reportedly testing macOS 14, which it is expected to introduce along with other new software at the WWDC event.
One of the most anticipated launches of the event is an AR/VR headset that Apple has reportedly been working on for a long time. The alleged device is expected to be powered by xrOS, which is also likely to launch at the event along with free App Store apps and other companion tools.
Reportedly, Apple is also expected to launch several other laptops during the event, including a 13-inch MacBook Air, a 13-inch MacBook Pro, and an updated 24-inch iMac. The first-ever Mac Pro with Apple’s own chips and refreshed high-end MacBook Pro models are also expected to be unveiled at WWDC this year.
Another big launch expected at the event is the introduction of iOS 17, which will likely accompany the iPhone 15 series that is expected to launch later this year. The upcoming flagship series lineup includes four models – iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
