American Idol: Judge Katy Perry reveals she’s “haven’t slept in days” amid recent backlash
Katy Perry looked really sleepy in a BTS video from American Idol that she posted to Instagram. The black-and-white behind-the-scenes video showed Perry beaming minutes before he took to the stage. The singer revealed that she has not slept a day and has been up since 6 am to visit the zoo. Katy’s video was released amidst American Idol receiving backlash for being “unprofessional” and “rude” to the contestants.

Katy Perry took to Instagram to post a behind-the-scenes video of American Idol, while captioning it, “#MINUTEBEFORETHESHOW #IDOL.” The black and white video showed us a glimpse of Perry’s routine before the show began. She is seen doing her makeup and dressing for the show. Once Berry sparked, a vitamin pill popped out while she was drinking water.
Katie looked at the camera and said, “So, do you want to be a star? Well, you better take your vitamins. Because I haven’t slept in days,” before laughing and taking a swig of water. And she continued, “I actually went to the zoo this morning. I’ve been up since six.”
The singer added, “Feed the giraffes. Hang with the lions. Watch the gorillas. No metaphors. I literally went to the zoo.”
Later, Katie looked in the mirror and started chanting what sounded like words of affirmation; She whispered, “Here we go. Pop star. Pop star. Pop star. Pop star.” Katie stepped out into the sunlight and repeated, “Get that D” to herself a few times before looking into the camera and explaining, “Vitamin D!”

American Idol fans left disappointed
Viewers of American Idol were disappointed when the judges endlessly praised the otherwise disappointing performance. As contestant Haven Madison took the stage for a performance of Bon Jovi’s Livin’ on a Prayer. Viewers of the show raved about how amazing the performance was. In turn, the judges were impressed with her performance.
Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan couldn’t stop applauding, while Katy Perry looked absolutely blown away. She complimented Haven by saying, “Well, I’m done trading the Flintstones vitamins for some confidence vitamins. I don’t know who you are, but I’m nervous, I’ve got my palms sweaty, I’m so excited, I’m menacing. That’s all great. You’re a star.” The next big pop in regards to this performance.” Luke and Lionel agreed with Katy naming her a “huge star” of the future.
Viewers didn’t particularly agree with the judges. One observer tweeted, “You sure got special treatment? Like what the hell…” Another added, “I don’t need judges to act disrespectful and offended… but I do need them to stop lying and offering constructive criticism.”
He ended up reaching the tenth rank of Haven. Lionel and Katie are temporarily replaced on the judges’ panel after the backlash they received for their unpopular opinions. However, the replacement is only temporary as Katie and Lionel are scheduled to perform at the coronation of King Charles III in the United Kingdom.
