American Idol season 21: Katy Perry receives backlash for her final dress, fans are calling it a “swimsuit”

People have been waiting a long time until the end of American Idol 21 to find out who will be crowned as the winner of the reality show and to see the performance of the finalists. The finale of the reality show saw the special appearances of judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan with host Ryan Seacrest.

However, the audience apparently didn’t like the outfit Katy Perry chose during the finale and received backlash on social media for the same. Here is everything you should know about the same.

Katy Perry at the end of season 21 of American Idol

Katy Perry opted for a sexy red ensemble while attending American Idol season 21 stage alongside Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie.

Berry wore a red dress with a sheer skirt and cut-out details. The top of the dress extended across her collarbone with a slit underneath and then another slit below her bust. The bottom of the dress was a fully sheer maxi skirt with sparkly rhinestones all over. Katy Perry completed her look with a pair of heels. The singer looked pretty as she wore her hair in big curls.

However, fans didn’t find Perry’s squad grateful and took to their social media accounts to express the same. One user tweeted, “This dress does not flatter Katy Perry!” while the other compared the dress to a swimsuit.

However, Katy Perry didn’t pay any attention to the comments about the dress because she thoroughly enjoyed the season 21 finale of American Idol. Perry was even seen crying over Iam Tonji’s recent performance which was an honest rendition of Making Memories for Us by Urban. Keith.
