Edward L. Resin, who produced the war film Burt Lancaster Castle, Cape He has served as an executive at ABC, Bing Crosby Productions, Filmways, and Playboy Productions. He was 98 years old.

Edward Louis Ressien was born on October 20, 1924, in Des Moines, Iowa. He attended Roosevelt High School in his hometown and Grinnell College and served in the United States Army Air Forces before graduating from Stanford University in 1949.
Rissien moved to New York to pursue a career in theater on the advice of Cloris Leachman, a high school classmate and casting partner (Class of ’42) who had recently signed with Rodgers & Hammerstein, and worked in summer stock.
On Broadway in 1953, he was hired as a stage manager midsummerstarring Geraldine Page and Mark Stephens, and joined the original production of South Pacific as assistant stage director (Leachman had played Lt. Nellie Forbush in that).
Raisian came to Hollywood a year later and worked with Stevens by producing TV shows for the actor, director and producer big city And resolution and features of his crime timetable (1956) and gun fever (1958).
