Cliffhanger Reboot Set With Sylvester Stallone Returning – The Hollywood Reporter
Sylvester Stallone is ready to soar to new heights with this reboot of the 1993 action-thriller, Interesting ending.
Rick Roman Wu, who directed action films Angel fell And green land, to direct the feature that will see Stallone reprise his role of mountain climber and lifeguard, Gabe Walker. The reboot features a script written by Marc Bianculli, who is a writer and consulting producer on the series for Amazon anglers.
The original Neil H. Moretz movie, famous for its multi-billion dollar hit The Fast and the Furious franchiseAnd You will be producing with Rocket Science production and sales equipment as well as Stallone and Braden Aftergood’s Balboa Productions. Rocket Science kicks off sales during the Cannes Film Market in May. CAA Media will represent the rights to North America and China.
Written by Michael France with Stallone rewriting, Interesting ending It featured Stallone as Walker, a man haunted by a rescue gone wrong, who finds himself called into the rescue with his former co-workers. But this mission turns out to be a fake distress call, as a group of international thieves are in the midst of trying to find their stolen loot after a botched air robbery. It follows both figurative and literal decline.
The 1993 film was directed by Renny Harlin and damaged, despite a brutal production that nearly bankrupted its main production company, Carolco, which couldn’t pay the crew at two points.
Producers involved with the reboot include Neil H. Moritz and Toby Jaffe for Original Film, and Stallone and Thorsten Schumacher with partner Lars Sylvest for Rocket Science, who will also finance.
Wu, Anna Lily Amirpour, Chance Wright, Gianluca Chacra, and Hisham Alghanim serve as executive producers.

Interesting ending Wu said in a statement. “To be at the helm of the next chapter, climbing the Italian Alps with the legend himself, Sylvester Stallone, is a dream come true. It will be a huge challenge and a blast to take this franchise to new heights, a responsibility I do not take lightly.”
