Drew Barrymore to Host the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards – The Hollywood Reporter

Drew Barrymore is set to host the 2023 MTV Movie and TV Awards in Los Angeles.

The popular talk show host and actress will take to the stage at Barker Hangar on May 7 for the annual MTV Awards honoring the biggest and best in both film and television, scripted and unscripted, which will be broadcast internationally in more than 150 countries.

Over the course of her decades-long career, Barrymore has been nominated for nine MTV Movie & TV Awards and has won three Golden Popcorns. Her first kiss was the best kiss ever wedding singer. It also won awards for Best On Screen Team for Charlie’s Angels and Best Talk/Subject Show at the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted. In 2020, Barrymore and Sandler, who have starred alongside each other in multiple projects, were honored as a “Dynamic Duo” at MTV’s Greatest of All Time Awards.

To announce that he is hosting the party, he 50 first dates star shared a special clip of the The Drew Barrymore Show (less).

“And now, for Drew’s breaking news report, we’re going to our special correspondent, M3GAN,” she said. “Thank you, Drew,” Barrymore said as the horror movie character to the talk show host. “I already have news for you: You are hosting the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards. How exciting.”

Barrymore went on to say that she is looking forward to the show, which is all about the fans. “Great moments, great movie stars,” she said. “Cocaine Bear, are you free on May 7th?”

The 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards will air May 7 at 8 p.m. EST/PT.
