IPL 2023 RCB vs LSG: Challengers score 93/4 in 15 overs, rain stops game

News

Playing against Lucknow Super Gaints in the 43rd match of the Tata IPL 2023 in Lucknow, Royal Challengers Bangalore’s batsmen were only able to score 93 runs in 15.2 overs as rain stopped play.

After winning the coin toss, Faf du Plessis, skipper of the Royal Challengers Bangalore, chose to bat first.

Knowing there is a chance of rain in Lucknow, openers Virat Kohli and skipper Faf du Plessis gave RCB a solid start.

Before being sent off by Ravi Bishnoi in the 9th over, Kohli scored 31 runs in 30 balls. After this, other RCB batters seem to be struggling as the wickets tumble one after the other. Plessis (40*), however, kept a cool head and scored from one side. Until the report was submitted, RCB was running 93/4 in 15.2 overs.

For LSG, Ravi Bishnoi took wickets, while Amit Mishra and Krishnappa Gowtham picked one each.

In the current IPL points table, LSG is in second place with 10 points, while RCB is in sixth place with 8 points. LSG won 5 in its 8 games played, while RCB won 4 of its 8 games played.

This is a developing story, it will be updated soon.
