Sheikh Saleh al-Taleb, a former imam of the Great Mosque in Mecca, the holiest site in Islam, has been given a ten-year prison sentence by the Saudi authorities, according to the rights organization Prisoners of Conscience.
The initial ruling of the Specialized Criminal Court to acquit Sheikh Al-Taleb was reversed by the Court of Appeals, which resulted in Sheikh Al-Taleb being given a formal sentence of imprisonment.
In connection with the one-year anniversary of Sheikh Saleh Al-arbitrary Taleb’s incarceration in the jails of the Saud House dictatorship for a whole year without charge or trial, a campaign of support was launched on social media. The campaign was established to show solidarity with Taleb.
Since September of 2017, the authorities in Al-Saud have imprisoned hundreds of preachers, philosophers, and activists from the general population. One of them is known as Sheikh Saleh.

Sheikh Saleh Al-Talib, a well-known imam in Makkah and the preacher at Masjid Al Haram (also known as the Grand Mosque), is said to have been detained by Saudi Arabian authorities, at least according to the charges made by the social media group Prisoners of Conscience.
An activist provided clarity to the situation after much misunderstanding by stating that Makkah Imam Sheikh Saleh Al-Talib had been detained as a result of a speech on wicked deeds. This statement was made after considerable confusion. After condemning King Salman for all of his misdeeds, he was taken into custody for his comments.
A majority of our tweets pertaining to the Hajj were tweeted by Al Talib. There is some question as to whether or not Al Talib was the one who originally posted this statement on social media.
Since 2017, King Salman has been carrying out a prolonged arrest campaign, which has led to the Saudi authorities detaining members of the business community, as well as human rights campaigners, moderate clerics, and journalists.
In addition, these arrests have already touched liberals and other thinkers who don’t shy away from publicly expressing their thoughts. Anyone who disobeys the law in Saudi Arabia is taken into custody by the country’s security forces because liberalism is not accepted there.

Asiri proceeded by saying, “The Saudi authorities target any influential individual with a public presence in the Kingdom, including individuals who did not express a viewpoint.” [Citation needed] They may have chosen to target Sheikh Saleh because of the sermon he delivered, or they may have done it for another reason.
Activists were able to spread the word about the preacher of the Masjid al-detention, Haram’s overshadowing the majority of critiques of this arrest thanks to a strong interaction amongst early users of Twitter.
Imam Kaaba
Since September 2017, the authorities in the Al-Saud monarchy have detained a large number of religious leaders, intellectuals, and political activists. One of them is known by the title Imam Kaaba Sheikh Saleh.
In August of this year, Sheikh Saleh al-Taleb was taken into custody for the first time. The official reason for the 48-year-old man’s incarceration is unknown; however, rights organizations assert that his arrest occurred after he delivered a sermon about the responsibility of Muslims to speak out against wrongdoing in public.
It is unknown why people are arrested in the kingdom or why they are arrested. However, evidence that has been leaked reveals that many detainees have been subjected to grave abuses, including torture, in order to coerce them into confessing to crimes they did not commit or giving up their critical views of the government. Al-Sudais is a member of the Anazzah clan, and by the time he was 12 years old, he had already memorized the Quran. Al-Sudais attended the Al Muthana Bin Harith Elementary School while he was growing up in Riyadh. After that, he went on to study at the Riyadh Scientific Institution, from which he graduated in 1979 having received an exceptional grade. He received a bachelor’s degree in Sharia from Riyadh University in 1983, a master’s degree in Islamic fundamentals from the Sharia College of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in 1987, and a doctorate in Islamic Sharia from Umm al-Qura University in 1995 while working there as an assistant professor after having served at Riyadh University. Other than this, Sheikh Saud Al-Shuraim – has been his partner in Taraweeh Prayers from 1994 till 2006, and again in 2014, 2019, and 2020. Sudais took up his imamate in 1984, when he was just 24 years old, and delivered his first sermon at Masjid Al-Haram in July of that same year. Sheikh Saud Al-Shuraim has also been Sudais’ partner in Taraweeh Prayers in 2014, 2019, and The name of their band was “Twins of the Haram.” Sheikh Abdullah Awad Al Juhany and other imams of Masjid al-Haram, such as Sheikh Yasser Al-Dossary and Sheikh Bander Baleela, took over Al-role Shuraim’s as the imam of the first Rakat of the Khatm Al Quran (End of the Quran) Taraweeh prayer between the years of 2005 and 2020.
In 2005, the Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA) Organising Committee recognized Al-Sudais as the 9th annual “Islamic Personality Of The Year” in appreciation of his devotion to the Quran and Islam. The award was given to Al-Sudais in celebration of his devotion to the Quran and Islam. When he was in Dubai to accept his prize, he gave a speech in which he said, “The message of Islam and Muslims is to be modest, fair, secure, stable, sympathetic, harmonious, and kind.”
Between the years 2010 and 2012, he traveled to the United Kingdom, India, Pakistan, and Malaysia. In 2011, he was a guest speaker at a seminar that he hosted at the Higher Institute for Advanced Islamic Studies in Malaysia. The topic of his talk was Islamic civilization in the context of contemporary issues.
