This came after rounds of meetings and deliberations over the Karnataka CM’s decision. The news was warmly welcomed by the people of Bengaluru, who greeted the two leaders with great enthusiasm upon their arrival.
Both leaders also met with senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi on Friday to discuss all possible names to be included in the cabinet and to formally invite the party’s high command to the swearing-in ceremony today.
The two leaders, who flew in from Bengaluru along with general secretary, Randeep Surjewala, held a series of meetings in the national capital on Friday on cabinet formation.
Cabinet deliberations continued late into the night as the top central and state leaders tried to balance all sections, groups, communities and regions while accommodating everyone.

Karnataka Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala invited allies from other parties to the swearing-in ceremony. The big old party emerged victorious with a significant vote share and number of seats in the 2023 Karnataka Assembly Election, claiming 136 seats in the southern state.
