Lava Agni 2 5G was launched in India on Tuesday. The phone succeeds the Lava Agni 5G model which was launched in November 2021. The newly launched smartphone was highly teased by the company. It comes with a curved AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Lava Agni 2 5G is equipped with an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7050 5G SoC. It also has a quad rear camera module housed in a large circular module in the middle of the top of the back panel.

Lava Agni 2 5G price in India, availability

Lava Agni 2 5G is available in one Viridian color option in India with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The phone is priced at Rs. 21,999 and will be sold exclusively on Amazon starting May 24th at 10am EST. The company says that customers who buy the phone using any debit/credit card from major banks will get fixed rupees. 2,000 off, bringing the actual price to Rs. 19,999.

Lava Agni 2 5G phone specifications and features

The Lava Agni 2 5G powered by Dual Nano SIM features a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a resolution of + (2220 x 1080 pixels) with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The ergonomic 3D curved design display is said to support HDR, HDR 10, and HDR 10+. With a lower edge of 2.3 mm, the phone comes with a 3D glass back design with a matte finish and double glass protection.

The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC, and it is the first phone in India to use this processor. It runs Android 13 out of the box and claims to be free of any bloatware. Lava guarantees an upgrade to Android 14 and Android 15 with quarterly security updates for 3 years on this phone.

The quad camera module on the back includes a 50MP camera sensor with a resolution of 1.0 micron. Other camera details are not known yet. X-Axis Linear Motor Haptics claims to enhance the gaming experience of the users. In terms of RAM and storage, the Lava Agni 2 5G comes with 8GB of RAM with support for virtual expansion up to 16GB. It also has 256GB of onboard storage.

Backed by a 4,700mAh battery unit, the Lava Agni 2 5G comes with a 66W wired fast charging adapter, which claims to charge the phone from zero to 50 in less than 16 minutes. The phone also supports 13 5G bands, claiming to be the first in its class to do so.
