Nokia C22 launch date set in India for May 11; Expected price and specifications

Licensee HMD Global confirmed on Saturday that the Nokia C22 is all set to hit the Indian market on May 11. The new C series was launched in select European markets in February alongside the Nokia C32. Nokia C22 features a 6.5 inch LCD display and has a dual rear camera module, led by a 13MP primary sensor. It runs on Android 13 (Go edition) and is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that is claimed to offer up to three days of battery life on a single charge. Nokia C22 has IP52 water resistance design.

through a tweet On Tuesday, Nokia announced that it will launch the Nokia C22 in India in two days. Interestingly, the smartphone comes with AI-powered cameras and up to three days of battery life. However, the brand has not disclosed the Indian pricing details of the smartphone.

The Nokia C22 debuted in Europe in February alongside the Nokia C32. The phone was unveiled with a starting price of EUR 109 (roughly Rs. 9,500) and is available in Charcoal, Purple, and Sand color options.

The Indian version of the phone is likely to have most of the same specs as the European variant. Dual SIM (Nano) Nokia C22 runs on Android 13 (Go edition) and features a 6.5 inch HD (720 x 1600 pixels) LCD display. It is powered by Unisoc SC9863A SoC octa-core processor with 2GB of RAM. The onboard RAM can be physically expanded using unused storage.

For optics, the dual rear camera module on the Nokia C22 includes a 13MP primary camera and a 2MP sensor with a macro lens. For selfies, there is an 8-megapixel camera. It has 64GB of onboard storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via the microSD card slot. The smartphone includes a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and supports face unlock. The phone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging. It has an IP52 rating for dust and splash resistance.
