Part 2 Trailer Brings Timothée Chalamet Back to Action – The Hollywood Reporter


the Dune: Part Two The trailer promises that director Denis Villeneuve’s sequel will deliver even more action than its first installment. That’s an idea Villeneuve shared last week at CinemaCon, when he showed off the first footage from the sequel.

part One It is more of a meditation movie. The second part It is an epic war movie full of action. It is more intense. “We went to all the new locations,” said Villeneuve. “I didn’t want to feel repetitive. All combinations are new. Everything is new.”

Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya again in the movie, from Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures. Returning stars also include Rebecca Ferguson (Lady Jessica Atreides), Javier Bardem (Stilgar), Josh Brolin (Jurnee Halleck), Stellan Skarsgård (Baron Vladimir Harkonnen), Dave Bautista (Glosso Rabanne Harkonnen), Charlotte Rampling (Reverend Mother Mohiam) and Stephen McKinley Henderson (Thover Hawat).

Albino Austin Butler appears in the trailer as Feyd Rautha, described by Villeneuve as “an Olympic sword master with a psychotic serial killer”. New cast members include Christopher Walken as the Emperor, Florence Poe as Princess Irulan Corino, Léa Seydoux as Lady Margot, and Suhaila Yacoub as Shishakly, among others.

Dune: Part Two Adapted from Frank Herbert’s seminal novel with text by Villeneuve and John Spaihts. Release date November 3.

the first Dune A day and a date on HBO Max, and despite the pandemic challenges still managed to bring in $400 million at the box office. It was also an award nominee, winning six Academy Awards and receiving a nomination for Best Picture. Villeneuve said he’d likely be interested in a third batch as well, based on Herbert Dune Christ (1969), the second in the series.
