Samsung Galaxy S23 FE may not launch this year as previously expected
Samsung was expected to launch the Galaxy S23 FE smartphone after it launched the Galaxy S23 series with three models — the basic Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra — earlier this year. The South Korean tech giant is expected to launch a host of other smartphones in 2023. It is already expected to expand its foldable lineup with the alleged Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 devices. It was previously reported that the Galaxy S23 Fan Edition model will launch later this year at the second Galaxy Unpacked event alongside the Galaxy Tab S8 FE tablet.
but, according As for the reliable Roland Quandt (rquandt), the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE smartphone is unlikely to be released this year. While it wasn’t immediately clear if the phone might see the light of day, it’s possible Samsung will skip the Galaxy S23 FE model, just as it did with the Galaxy S22 FE.
Samsung reportedly did not work on the Galaxy S22 FE to boost production of the Galaxy S22 Ultra. The chips for the Galaxy S22 FE have been reallocated to the Galaxy S22 Ultra in order to increase the output of the latter. The smartphone manufacturer was previously expected to manufacture 3 million units of the Galaxy S22 FE last year, but a shortage of chips and high demand for the Galaxy S22 Ultra may have led to the cancellation of the Samsung Galaxy S22 FE, according to speculation.
Since situations have changed this year and chips are no longer in a “lack zone,” according to the TechRepublic report, it’s unclear whether or not Samsung will delay the release of the Galaxy S23 FE altogether. Since no official statement has been released yet, it is recommended to take every report and speculation with a pinch of salt.
Samsung’s latest Fan Edition model was the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, which launched in two storage options and is offered in four colors – graphite, lavender, olive, and white. The phone is available in India starting at Rs. 30,999.
