Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 tends to sport a larger external display than the Galaxy Z Flip 4
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is expected to be launched alongside the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. Both smartphones could be unveiled in July at the Galaxy Unpacked event earlier than expected. The South Korean tech giant has reportedly started the process of mass production of the hinges that will be used in these foldable smartphones and according to this schedule will allow the company to be ready to launch the phones by July, instead of earlier. I mentioned the August schedule. Meanwhile, a new leak indicates that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will have a larger external screen than its predecessor.
Tipster Ice Universe (UniverseIce) participated in a tweet It is expected that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be launched with a large external screen to a large extent. The foldable clamshell phone is expected to feature a 3.4-inch external screen with a resolution of 720 x 748 pixels and a pixel density of 305ppi.
The leak also shared the alleged design rendering of the Galaxy Z Flip 5. The phone is shown compared to the external display of the previous phone, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 features a 1.9-inch external display. Shown in the shared image, the new design has most of the clamshell cover enclosed by the display panel, only bending around the dual rear camera modules positioned horizontally on the right-hand corner of the panel.
Previous reports indicated that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC for the Galaxy phone. It is also expected to launch in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options, and it could come with 8GB of RAM. The phone is also reported to support 25W fast charging.
It is expected to run One UI 5.1.1 based on Android 13. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is likely to be available in Beige, Space Gray, Light Green, and Light Pink color options. It will reportedly measure 165mm x 71.8mm x 6.7mm.
