SC extends suspension of proceedings against Arvind Kejriwal for ‘Khuda’ comment

News

The Supreme Court on Monday extended its provisional stay in the proceedings against Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, in a case registered against him for allegedly making offensive comments against the BJP and Congress in Uttar Pradesh during the 2014 parliamentary election campaign.

Kejriwal had reportedly said that “Joh Congress ko stem dega, mera maanna hoga, desh ke saath gaddari hogi…. Joh Bhajapa (BJP) ko stem dega use khuda bhi maaf nahin karega (Those who will vote at the Congress will betray the nation, and God will not forgive those who vote for the BJP.”
