Suzume no Tojimari (Suzume’s Locking Up) was one of the most anticipated fantasy adventure anime from director Makoto Shinkai. Nanoka Hara was chosen as the voice of Suzume at an open audition. The novelization of this film was written by director Makoto Shinkai and released on August 24, 2022.

Where can you watch Suzume no Tojimari Online

Suzume no Tojimari was only theatrically released due to its huge success. The studio did not want to turn over revenue.

Worldwide distribution rights to Suzume no Tojimari have been purchased by Crunchyroll except for Asia where Crunchyroll will partner with Sony. It has been reported that the distribution of this dark fantasy anime will begin in the early months of 2023. The online release date of Suzume is yet to be decided by Crunchyrolls.

Suzume no Tojimari release date

Suzume no Tojimari premiered in Japan on November 11, 2022 and has since sold millions of tickets in Japan alone. The online release date of this dark fantasy anime is not yet known, but it has been reported that it will be distributed by Crunchyrolls in the early months of 2023.

The Suzume no Tojimari Conspiracy

Seventeen-year-old Suzume meets a strange man who is looking for a private door. Together, the duo discovers the private door in an old abandoned house located in the mountains. With a captivating force, Suzume is pulled toward the handle. By entering through the door, this teenager opens a portal to the unknown and more similar doors begin to appear all over Japan. Now, Suzume needs to travel all over Japan whether through the mountains or across the sea to close every door to prevent the door of disaster from destroying Japan.
