The Little Mermaid Trailer Out: Halle Bailey takes on Ariel with the first ever appearance of Ursula

The trailer and poster for Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” has finally been released and it looks like a promising watch. The much-anticipated trailer was presented by two of the film’s performers, Halle Bailey and Melissa McCarthy, during the 95th Academy Awards earlier this morning. Directed by genius filmmaker Rob Marshall, Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” is a live-action version of the 1989 animated classic musical and is set for a nationwide release on May 26, 2023. The movie has everything you’d expect from an animated drama the musical.

The trailer, which is 2:23 minutes long, gives a glimpse into the underwater world. The story of The Little Mermaid revolves around Ariel, a beautiful, lively mermaid who is eager for adventure. Ariel is the youngest and most rebellious of King Triton’s children. She would like to explore more about the world beyond the water and when beautiful Ariel reaches the surface, she falls in love with the dashing Prince Eric. Although mermaids are not allowed to interact with humans, Ariel chooses to listen to her heart. To experience life outside of water, Ariel makes a pact with the sea witch Ursula who helps her experience life on land but ultimately puts her father’s crown and her life in danger. With excellent visualization, amazing cast, and an engaging background score, the movie is worth watching.

The Little Mermaid: all the cast and characters

The film boasts an impressive cast and characters, including actress Halle Bailey as Ariel, David Diggs as Sebastian, Art Malick as Sir Grimsby, Academy Award winner Javier Bardem as King Triton, and Jacob Tremblay as King Triton. Flounder voices Awkwafina as Scattle, Noma Dumezweni as Queen Selena, and two-time Academy Award-nominated Melissa McCarthy as the voice of Ursula. Check out The Little Mermaid poster here –
