The Marc Jacobs Stam bag is back after spending a decade on the cheap

Fashion

The 2000s were undoubtedly THE the golden age of the “It Bag”. Throughout the decade, we’ve come across the Balenciaga City Bag, Chloe Paddington, Fendi Spy, Dior Saddle Bag, and more. One such It Bag was the Marc Jacobs Stam, a vintage-inspired quilted tote with a cute kiss clasp and chain shoulder strap inspired by 2000s star model Jessica Stam. The bag was launched in 2005 and quickly became a sensation until it was retired by the brand in 2013…until now.

Did you like or still like the look of the MJ Stam? Even. I’ve been coveting a Stam since it hit the shelves and I’ve been prowling for years on resale sites for the bag of my dreams. Luckily for us, the Stam is back, baby! As noted WWD, Marc Jacobs is re-releasing the favorite celebrity handbag just in time for the return of all things Y2K, and the new campaign features some of the biggest faces of the 2000s, including Paris Hilton, Ashanti and Selma Blair, without forget Jessica Stam with the bag that bears her name.
