Uttarakhand Announces 4% Increase in DA for Government Employees, Retirees after CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Approval

Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday approved a 4 percent increase in the allowance for the duration of the costs of government employees and pensioners, an official statement said.

“CM Dhami has given approval to increase the Dearness Allowance (DA) of government employees and retirees by 4 percent,” a statement said.

“With the increased DA, more than three lakh government employees and pensioners will get the benefit of dearness benefit. After the issuance of the mandate, the dearness benefit will now rise from 38 percent to 42 percent in Uttarakhand,” it stated.

The cabinet had authorized CM Pushkar Singh Dhami to make a decision on raising the DA of the staff.

“The Prime Minister has given permission to increase the allowance for loved ones in the interest of civil servants and pensioners,” the ministry said.
