Ariana DeBose’s cute reaction to coming face to face with Morgan Freeman is probably how many would have if they were in a similar situation.

When the Oscar-winning actress posted the footage to her social media on Monday, she added the caption, “Instructive moments only. Nice to meet you, sir!”

This isn’t the first time the actress has had a moment to go viral on social media. In February, DeBose’s 2023 BAFTA Awards performance included an original rap where she paid tribute to the nominated actresses, including Angela Bassett, Viola Davis, Cate Blanchett and Jamie Lee Curtis.

“Angela Bassett did the thing, Viola Davis my queen, Blanchett Cate you’re a genius and Jimmy mine you all,” DeBose sang, leading to widespread discussion across social media regarding the line, “Angela Bassett did the thing.”

After seeing the viral reaction at the time, DeBose weighed in, “The Internet is wild! Appreciate all the love.”

Then the infamous streak came full circle when Bassett won Artist of the Year at the 2023 NAACP Image Awards. Once on stage, the actress joked, “I think Angela Bassett did the thing!”
